Christmas 2008 winter wonderland

This Christmas season has been unique to Washington. Snow in the wintertime is not unusual but it is also not unusual to go a winter without it. However this winter starting December 12 the weather turned unusually cold dropping below freezing At port daytime highs. By the 18th incoming moisture collided and we began to accumulate snow. Approximately 18 inches fell over the next six days including Christmas day and although it is warming and starting to turn into a slushy nightmare on the roads it continues to snow early in the mornings. But Christmas morning was wonderful and the star attraction was little Brooklyn.

Yesterday, after presence were opened, we had our traditional Christmas football game in 8 inches of snow. It snowed the entire time and we had a great time. The warriors (Ryan, Daren, Cory and Kevin) came home cold but happy and went straight for the hot tub. After that things got a little crazy.

A couple of hours were spent learning how to play Nintendo Wii and Cindy was particularly fond of shooting chickens.

In the late afternoon we went to our traditional Christmas day movie followed with Chinese Food. There was a great time
